Wal-Mart salaried manager here. Those were simply examples of sloppy merchandising, which is exceedingly common in big box stores. Wal-Mart customers can expect to see a 3%-5% price increase on some low-margin items like consumer electronics and hardlines (Tools, automotive, etc). Everything else, like apparel or food/grocery, won’t be affected by the tariffs in any significant way. It’s not that complicated.
