Nothing new in Chicago. I am 80 years old and grew up in Illinois. Occasionally went there for museums and ball games. You get lost and end up in Southside Chicago, you are in trouble. Back then before GPS of course, every street sign was missing, street lights were shot out, only cars parked had the tires stolen and windows broken out and sitting on rims. Fences for road repairs were everywhere and I saw no repairs, they just wanted to direct the little bit of traffic that dared to go there into a trap to rob you. The creepy people would stand in front of your car to stop you, but the driver of the car I was in, just kept going. I heard a few thumps, but was just glad to get outa there.
