Thank you Natalie.John Rabe, a German Nazi was stationed in Nanjing during the massacre. He personally saved thousands, perhaps tens of thousands of civilians by using his diplomatic position. The locals cried when he was sent back to Germany, there is a monument in his honour in Nanjing to this day.
