President Trump didn’t shut down the government. Schmuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries did. Schumer didn’t want to anger his left-wing radical base lest he get primaried out, so he gave them what they wanted – a shutdown.
The Dems approved the most of the bill presented by the Republicans. They just wanted to add a lot of slush, including medicaid for illegals. The purpose of the bill is to reduce costs but the Dems can’t stand it if they can’t spend, spend, spend our money especially on their voting base, illegals.
