Look, SNAP is out of control. In the last two years $524 million was used on fast food under SNAP. Walmart, Sam’s Club or grocery store use only.. It should go according to the food pyramid for daily nutrition. No junk food, no soda. There are a lot obese people using SNAP.
SNAP cost US (working taxpayers) $8 billion a month. They found many dead people on the rolls, during the shut down. ALL of LBJ’s unGREATful SOCIETY has been a failure. The SCOTUS ruled in 2023 that “all were equal”. When does the socialism (theft) stop? When WE the PEOPLE say so. I agree stop federal funding for snap let the states take care of their own and we’ll see how many of these illegal immigrants get their snap benefits. Also, my question is why does my 91 year-old mother get less snap benefits than illegal immigrants coming into our country I definitely be curious on that answer.. another issue being retired on Social Security why I get a 2.8% increase but lose 1/3 going to Medicare but then all these illegal immigrants get Medicare benefits or free healthcare from some other sources that I have to pay for out of my Social Security benefits. A funny part is I work for 50 years in the manufacturing industry. I’ve never gotten less than a 3% increase with 1/3 being taken away for other purposes.. when I got a 3% raise I got a 3% raise!

Amy, you can’t even enter a hospital in a foreign country for care unless you pay at the door upfront. It happened to me in Germany, then a friend had a mini stroke after our Veteran’s Day Concert at Westminster in London, we had to come up with $1000 cash for her to enter the hospital. A classmate needed an emergency appendectomy in Amsterdam, his parents had to wire money.
I’ve been to 62 countries, belonged to the International Anesthesia Research Society and have never found another country that allows for non citizens to obtain health care without paying in advance. Intl. groups laugh at the “dumb Americans”.

5.5 million people at $500 (some get more some get less) a month comes out to 2.75 trillion a month. Heck in one year the deficit could be paid off
