Thune understands that the SAVE Act is a poll tax, which is illegal under the Constitution. He also understands a little numbers thing: The Heritage Foundation (you know, the Project 2025 people?) had several studies done, trying to find fraudulent voting. Over 30 years – billions of votes cast – they found 77 (90% of which were cast by Republicans). Less than .00005%. And these were people who *wanted* to believe there were fraudulent votes, because they *wanted* an excuse to stop women, and poor people, from voting.

Better check the law. This is not a pole tax period. In fact, it really restates what is already law and provides that anyone voting in a national election must be presented as a US citizen, and not a foreigner, or illegal immigrant who should not be able to vote or influence any national election as a non-citizen. Consider this. Any political side could essentially have people from a visiting cruise ship bused to the local election location, register, and vote. Or is that what you are looking for? Why is it that over 70% of all Americans are for this.
