The communist and socialist always attack the rich, always. Class envy, not fair, “dont pay their fair share.” Democrats have used that for a hundred years at election times. IRS will tell you, if you ask, the top 5% wage earners pay 70% of federal income taxes. The bottom 50% wage earners pay NO income tax, its been that way for decades. Half of the public has no clue what is happening or the truth. Other state or local town/city taxes of course are paid by everyone, toll fees, property taxes, fuel taxes, food taxes, sales taxes, and many others. Most wealthy folks support foundations and charities, low or poor people cant afford those expenditures. Most “blue” states have raised taxes so high, the rich say, screw you I am moving to a “red” state. So there you go.
The most fair tax, that will never happen, is a consumption tax you consume more you pay more, consume less you pay less.
